I noticed one of my tomato plant’s leaves started drooping and curling under several days ago. And today I noticed that the edges of the leaves are yellowing and have developed a wet, mushy like texture around the edges. Any ideas what would cause this? AG Golden Harvest Cherry Tomatoes, 35 days old in a Farm Plus, 24 ml AG Nutes (bottle recommendations) in Distilled water. I also have an AG Heirloom red cherry tomato plant in the same Farm side that appears to be doing well, although the growth of both plants seems to have stalled out some in the last week.  |

kinik, I have not grown tomatoes and can not help with this one. Please wait for another member to answer.
A couple of possible problems can include calcium deficiency, too many nutes or high/low pH. Have you done a full dump and refill of the water?
Again I have not grown so I really do not know.

I have grown the AG Heirloom tomatoes but never had this happen to me. Perhaps just clip off the bad leaves and see what happens.

Have you noticed at any time some condensation on the leaves?

Yes, I’ve noticed quite a bit of condensation. The leaves are pretty densely packed together. Is it possible that all that density might be preventing the moisture from evaporating?

Mary would know better, but let me ask, do you shake the plant (gently) often to help bring air circulation? Maybe try removing one or two leaves where it is super dense? These are suggestions as I have said many time, I never grew tomatoes  |

I haven’t been shaking them, but that’s something I could easily add to my routine. Maybe even add a small fan to increase air circulation.

Kinik I apologize for my late reply. A lot of condensation on the leaves can definitely cause problems. Different problems for different plants. It looks like yours basically couldn’t breathe. I’d definitely thin out the foliage and maybe think of getting a small fan. Sometimes it’s the time of year and your microclimate that can cause extra condensation. I recently was surprised to see a bunch on my cucumber plants even though their foliage is not dense at all, but sure enough they developed a mildew and I had to get a fungicide.
