Hello all,
I am new to the AG world and have a Harvest Slim with an Heirloom lettuce blend that is doing great and almost ready to harvest. I was feeling so good about that success I purchased the Bounty Elite on sale from Sur La Table. I will set it up soon with herbs but I am wondering about the hood height. On the Harvest Slim the hood lowered to about 3-4 inches over the deck but on this Bounty lowest hood height seems to be about 6 inches or so. This seems really high especially when the instructions say to keep the hood 1-2 inches above the plants. So is the amount of light sufficient at this distance to keep the seedlings from being spindly? I may just be over thinking this whole thing.

Keep it simple and just do it and enjoy!
