Hi,
Having has a Harvest model in the UK for a couple of months, I wanted a Bounty for the additional height to grow tomatoes. The UK Amazon site has really poor reviews of the Bounty though, talking about multiple false power failure reports, screens ‘flicking’, partly going out, and general unreliability.
AeroGarden, while not admitting there had been any QA issues, assured me that the Amazon UK stock was recently replaced with new, and that it was all fully and extensively tested, so I decided to go ahead and order a Bounty.
Within 4 hours of setting it up, I’d already had my first and so far only false power failure reported (with the garden shutdown as a result). Definitely a false alarm because no other devices plugged into the same plugbank had any issues.
Now after 4 days, the ‘water’ section of the screen keeps jumping to one side and back again. Going into settings and back to the home screen makes no difference. Tried uploading a short video but unfortunately the file size is too big no matter how I try to shrink it.
wondering if this is a healthy machine, or one I should be thinking about returning as faulty?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hello and welcome Paul. I would return and get it replaced. I have a couple of these units and never saw those issues. Maybe that was from old stock.

Thanks, that’s what I’m thinking as well, Before buying I was in a Twitter DM discussion with AeroGarden and have highlighted the power issue, have now also sent them the screen video so hopefully they will respond and I can tell them I believe it is faulty and in need of replacement.
I’d return it to Amazon but that would mean writing off the tomatoes and four marigold that have been started in there.

Have you contacted Amazon? Sometimes, at least in the states they will send you the new one and then you send the old one back. That may also be a prime thing.

No not yet, strictly as the vendor they a liable for faults, but I’m thinking that if I go through them all that’s likely to happen is receiving another machine from a possibly faulty batch. as I mentioned originally, the amazon uk reviews are generally pretty bad for this machine, with many people quoting power issues and screen flicking, screens partly dying, and machines failing after a couple of months. My main reason for overlooking the poor reviews was Aerogarden’s assurance that all UK stock is new and extensively tested, but this machine is definitely looking to be faulty. i have two Harvest machines, both okay, but both full (only one vacant space) so can’t transplant into there as a short term option. I could probably if necessary cut my loss, get a third Harvest and return the Bounty for a refund, but I’d need to do that within the Amazon return window of 30 days, though I will contact them to ask what happens after the return window if the machine is faulty. Managed to add an image below showing the screen issue - the water icon keeps flashing between this and the normal position. Attachment Deleted

Okay, been onto Amazon, they are sending a replacement machine tomorrow, so I will try again with that, returning the original, hopefully the replacement will be fine but if not I should still have time within the amazon return window to sort it out.
The AeroGarden QA of UK machines obviously needs some improvement though.
thanks - will keep the thread up to date with any progress.

Replacement machine arrived and setup, need to remember to add u days to the display details for the start date.
Both old and new machines have the same software version - V1.0 also the Date Code on the base is identical 3518M.
Will report back, but think it’s almost certainly from the same batch and so just as likely to start showing problems in a few days.
anyone know what the latest Bounty software version is ?
