Looking to do Peppers for the first time in my Ultra. Any suggestions on types? I have a bunch of Grow your Own pods, so I can go with about anything (that would fit). I was thinking something at least a little spicy but not sure what to try. Also, do I just plant one in the Ultra, or could I go with 2 pods? Thanks!

The most popular pepper here seems to be the Sweet Heat. It’s compact only grows to 10” or so but can spread out a bit. I only grew one in my Harvest, not sure about the Ultra.

Hello and Welcome @hounder,
I have an Ultra and I always grow two plants in mine. As for Peppers, any plant that is 24" or below. However if topping sometimes you can get away with plants taller (although I have one done one of these)
I myself always have a Sweet Heat and a Jalapeno growing but have grown many different ones. For peppers I have grown or plan to you can view my Gardens as well as my Seed Stash.

I am currently growing two sets of peppers in an Ultra. One has the Sweet Bell and Poblano pods from AG (from the Jumbo Veggie Kit). So far the two are working fine. As the actual fruit grows, we will see. I am also growing an Heirloom Cherry Tomato pod (from AG) and a custom Sweet Heat in another Ultra. I paired those because the Sweet Heat stays small and the tomatoes (I heard/saw) tend to spread. So far, they are sharing nicely. Although my sweet heat has only reached 5.75" tall...not sure if that has anything to do with its neighbor or not. You can definitely do two in an Ultra. The list Shawn referenced is a good one if you want to go custom. There are literally dozens you can grow in an Ultra. Good luck!
