Was wondering what a 7 pod AeroGarden is going for? I can't find one on their website so, I have nothing to compare it to or with? What's the going price anyway?
Thanks all, Rick

They go for about 300 bucks regularly. If it is used, please check it out first. If it is on Ebay, then read the fine print. I have gotten some brand new ones on craigs list at prices low like that . They were being sold by people who got them as gifts and wanted to get rid of them.
I would be interested in seeing the link or ad.

That would be a great price, assuming it is new and from a good vendor. I bought both of my Ultras through Woot (Amazon's partner site) for $124 (or something like that). It appears they took off the Classic 6 and the Ultra off their site. As of a few months ago, they still had them under a 'Heritage Series' tab, or some similar name.

I've never heard of this website, but they're selling it for $70 now ($5 shipping and handling):
If I hadn't just bought an Ultra LED I'd really be itching to get one at this price.

it MAY be legit, BUT..I see no reviews of the site and the shipping for the machine is 4.95. Seems suspicious to me. But I tend to be over cautious.

They accept Paypal, so if it turns out to be a scam you can force a refund.

Yes, raynebc, that's where I saw it. I noticed that Amazon sells them for around $200, give or take, is why I was asking.
I don't trust PayPal, they charge for their service. I use my Debit Card. No costs and no charges to me.

Paypal doesn't charge the buyer.

Well, they took $5 from me once and I've never used then again.

The price is suspicious. But if valid, worth it. Personally, I wouldn't buy less than a Bounty, these days. Just for the power-level of the LED hood. Tomatoes, Eggplant, and Peppers will want the higher output lights.

I agree. I have the Ultra Hoods for flowers which I love as well as lettuce like vegetables. But the larger Toms and Peppers are much smaller with the lower lighting.

Columbus took a chance...

Columbus took a chance... Fingers crossed! Please report back. That price is super tempting, though I cannot afford nor do I have the space for another machine at the moment I really want to have another machine going with lettuce though.

I did some searching around on that site and numerous consumer report sites have flagged it as a potentially untrustworthy. I did not see any direct complaints, but a number of websites that track 'scams' list it as potentially dangerous due to:
1. The domain name was just registered in April; and is only registered for a year; 2. The contact information is someone's house and their personal gmail address; 3. When emailing the vendor, no response back; 4. Potential English language usage issues; 5. Company/domain not registered with small business, Better Business Bureau, or consumer sites.
These amount to a 'do not do business' flag as I suppose the logic is that a legit retailer would a) seek to do business longer than a year and b) pay to have their own email address. A few other sites say it may just be a small business, but then question why would they be doing so out of a house?
Just thought I would share.

Great points.
I personally only buy from places I know. Unless from Craigslist where i can test personally. But no one here does so this does not apply

Suggest using a cc with a burner number.

Well, Clumsythumbs, you popped my bubble. I can't afford a possible rip off so I'm going to pass on this deal after all. I really don't have the room for it anyway.
Thanks, Rick

One tool I recommend to everyone is camelcamelcamel.com. This is a price tool that will let you know when a product you are keeping your eye on drops below any price you choose on Amazon. I currently have it set to let me know when Bounties drop below $200. When it does, you receive an email. Mind you, some times you only have an hour to respond to that price. But the tool is very useful.

None. I don't have the room for another machine really. I just heard/read that this 7 pod machine was a super good machine and thot I'd buy one if the price was reasonable is all.
Thanks, Shawn, Rick
