I have an unknown herb growing in my garden, the pod is labeled Holy Basil. I had hoped it was just outer leaves and that the actual basil part was separate, but the whole plant is this weird thing that I cant identify. It looks a bit like tarragon, with long skinny leaves, but its woody. Fibrous. Hoped someone could tell me what the heck I am growing here! I've also got mint growing in my cilantro. I think aerogarden likes messing with my mind or something.

I was going to say Tarragon but can be savory.
Or something completely different. Trust me many of us had these mysteries.

Can I assume its got to be one of the seeds that they sell, so possibly if I take a long look at that list, I can eventually figure out what I am growing? Has it ever happened to anyone here that it is a truly unknown plant that they DONT sell?

I just got off the phone with the customer service dept at AG, they had no clue what that mystery herb was either! He first thought it was Tatsoi, but what is growing at my house doesnt look anything like that. Then he said Deer Tongue, nope, I've got that and that's not it. We finally decided that is most likely some kind of weed! Crazy. They are sending me out some replacement pods (at no charge) to make up for it. Also complained about that super strong and bitter arugula and he is sending more of that for me to try. Hopefully it wont be as unpalatable as the last batch was.
On a side note, when I clicked on the "contact us" at the bottom of the Aerogarden home page, I sent them pictures of my mystery herb and nobody ever responded. I dont think that is even monitored. Something to keep in mind for the future. They're really good once you call them, but why have that "contact us" feature if its not even watched by anyone?

I've had more luck with the chat support mechanism that the AG website has, at least during the parts of the day it is staffed.
