Hi all, I've been notified a few days ago that a handicapped apartment will become available around the first of next month so, I'll be moving into a larger apartment and will have more room for more gardens. I've been on the waiting list for close to a year now and it's finally coming thru.
Unfortunately, my internet connection will be down for I don't know how long but I do have a couple of options so we'll see how it goes next week. Also, participation in any events around here will be a bit strained as well.
Just thot I share it with all of you...

See? Having smaller gardens was better after all! Well thanks for the heads up, but we will be anticipating your return ...IF you should have to take a hiatus. Great news on the apartment of your choice coming thru.

Congrats on the new apartment. Of course this is a busy time for you. Thank you for advising us about your absence. I hope it is a quick one. We look forward to your return!
Question, Will this be a move that will be done on the same day? In the save vicinity? I ask because if you need to, empty the water from the units and secure them so the plants will not fly around. Bring them to your new place, add water and plug in.
I realize that may not be an option, but if it is ...

Thanks for the tip, Shawn BUT, here's a bird's eye view of where I'm moving to;
It's right across the street! That's literally driveway to driveway. Only thing I need to watch out for is getting hit by a car while I cross the street!
I will dump out some water anyway. I don't want to spill it all down the front of me as I carry them across the street.

At least you can save your gardens and not terminate or start fresh. Unless you want to of course.

Well, the apartment isn't ready as of yet. The lady was put in the hospital from moving so I'm going to have to wait a little longer. Maybe Friday I was told. I guess I'll be around till Friday anyway.
No no, I'll keep my gardens going and give you guys one more peek on Wednesday. I think that'll be 28 days. What do you guys call it? A D&D or an R&R at 4 weeks? I can't remember.
Oops! Oh my gosh! It's today!!! 28 days. I just looked at the calendar. OK, I'll get moving on the tomato update...

Although I haven't heard about the lady in the hospital but this apartment is still not ready. Maybe tomorrow I was told. One thing nice about all this is my rent being prorated.

I've got more good news. My new apartment building has 3 Win 7 HP computers for their tenants to use so I'll be able to stay online thru all of this after all.
Wednesday SHOULD be moving day. LOLOL We'll see... I'm sooooo looking forward to moving.

Well, gee, still no phone call to say I can start moving in... Maybe tomorrow?
I'd have to take a break right about now cuz it started raining a few minutes ago. Oh well...

Been at it since 10 am this morning. I'm bushed.

I can definitely sense your excitement even though you are bushed. You will have to tell us how you've set up and arranged your machines and if they took well to the move.

OK, so far here is what's going on. Went to the PO today and I thot it was my birthday. Got a ton of stuff and all is about a week early. My Harvest came in along with ties and some seeds. I've set the Harvest there on the counter top but will most likely put that Sprouts back on that rolling kitchen counter they were on before and leave the Harvest right there.

I bought this last week and it arrived today. Needs to be assembled and they won't do it. I'm handicapped in a wheelchair so this project is going to be fun.
I've removed all parts from the box and read the instructions. I may need to rest at least one day after that exercise so will try my hand at assembly Friday morning. (I'm bushed right now.)
I'm hoping that all my groceries and extra dishes and pots and pans will fit. I may have to buy another one tho.
My Harvest will arrive Thursday but am going to wait till Tuesday to plant herbs and lettuces. Tuesdays are all my weekly or bi weekly nutes and R&Rs days.

I am really surprised they will not do it for you. What about a handyman?
