OK, everything seems to be going well. I've constructed a new kitchen pantry and have moved a lot of stuff into it. I do need another one tho. My replaced Harvest has arrived and I planted 5 items in it yesterday morning. (Yeah, I know I'm late... I still hate moving.) So here they are.
I've left one center hole open for the GAL coming up soon. Not sure how that'll work but maybe I can start Buttercrunch from seed there.
This'll catch me up again. Maybe I'll have a few tomatoes by the time a lettuce pops up.

I really love this unit. (Harvest) I've lost electricity 3 or so times all ready over here and all I needed to do was reset the TIME/CLOCK and this unit remembers everything else. My two Sprouts I've had to get up at 4 am to reset them.
Anyway, here is last week's Tuesday's (13th) update, day 14, on my lettuces and spices. The spices aren't germinating. I'm going to have to call AG for replacements. Meanwhile, I'll pull those and plant more sweet bell peppers.
Gotta update to day 21 still...

Some of the herbs can take a long time to germinate. Some of mine took upwards to 3-4 weeks. But AG is very responsive if/when you contact them.

I would contact them at this point. But what herbs are not coming up?

Yeah, I would definitely contact them. I think on their materials they say 21 days. I have used both the form on their website and emailed them directly. In both cases I got my replacement pods in less than a week.

OK, here's day 28 for lettuces. I also did a R&R for all machines.
You'll notice I've pulled the herbs and will plant Bells and Bok Choi for the GAL in those three spots. I can't separate plants and machines for the GAL I'm hoping this will pass. If not just let me know and maybe next time...

If you mean you can't physically separate the plants so you can extract them from the machine, there IS a way..lift the plant up and clip off some of the root that is entangled..It won;t hurt the plants. The roots will grow back. The remaining separated roots in the tank will be removable after a short while. That looks like it would make a great salad for my lunch in a few hours!!

Hi ClumsyThumbs. Red Sails. I've never heard of it before and am wondering what it tastes like.

I have always enjoyed growing Red Sails. Enjoy them while they’re young, though, as they can get a bit bitter as they get larger

You can start picking off the larger leaves right now. Then newer leavers will start coming in

Interesting! I grew this a few months back, and mine did not look at all like that haha! Maybe it is also the lighting or the photo? Is it that purple in reality?

I find 18-24 days to be the best time to start. This time around, I am going to *try* to wait longer until I get larger leaves. I find it gets too crowded, and the leaves becomes less tasty the larger they get. If you look back at my First Salad Garden, I think I harvested around day ~23 (give or take). In retrospect, I could have waited longer, but this garden also lasted from Late January through late April, which is quite long for lettuce. If you read through that whole thread, you can see my first foray, and a lot of the questions I asked/feedback I got was really, really, REALLY instructive and generally helpful.

I don't know what's came over me! I've let these lettuces grow for well over 28 days! I never pruned them at their 2" mark nor did I thin them down either! I must be loosing it. Well, After harvesting this morning, I am now enjoying a morning salad. These are very tasty lettuces. I will grow them again.
