I started this project on august 31. I'm doing this in my new sprout. Burpee thyme Burpee cilantro Baker creek basil lime I havent started the basil yet as I know they grow like monsters. The packet says the basil sprouts in 6-10 days. Do you think I'm safe to start it or will it still shade these two?

It's currently beating the thyme. I'm holding my breath on thus thyme, as I've had it grow this far before and then brown up and die off. The cilantro at least is tall and already has tiny little leaves starting.

Cilantro is good. Excited for it. Now I know I tossed in almost ten seeds for the thyme yet only one has risen. Should I toss in some more seeds? I cannot see this one guy producing all that much thyme.

It will grow and get bushier. At least mine did. If you want to try and add a seed or two you can.

Day 45. Cilantro going like mad. Thyme is doing well. Gotta read up about how to harvest it. I cannot remember when I planted the lime basil lol. Its a balancing game keeping the cilantro trimmed enough to keep the light low for the basil. Cant wait to try the basil out though!

Day 92. My gardens are all a bit rough as we spent 9 days in hosp with my daughter so excuse the craziness of them. Left to right is cilantro, thyme, parsley, thyme ,and lime basil. The lime basil is amazing!

Thanks to both of you. Its an ongoing struggle with her disease, managing the diet and her bowel, its a very stressful period. We have a new plan with her surgeon so I really hope we can stay the course and keep her bowel healthy.

Sorry for my long absence. We spent yet another ten days in hosp, and with the holiday rush and all I just havent had the energy to post. I pulled my cilantro, it had given me tons and was officially overcrowding everything else. Thyme has went well, as has the lime basil which we both LOVE. The curly parsley has suffered, probably from the cilantro and basil smothering it out. I dont remember parsley going red last time, does this mean its no good or just vary in color?

I read that the red can be from a change in temps or not enough nutes.

Good to know. Thank you. I think I'll side with the nutes as i do usually under measure them a tad.
