yes treebeard , I just lift a little and turn. I have had HUGE root balls in my tank not affecting the pump. Here is a picture of one with roots although I have had larger ones. Can I do this to herbs and lettuces as well?

Day 44, I count at least 30 flower buds! How long do they usually take to open up? Also, any tips on pollinating, any nutrient changes for flowering, etc?

Just hide and watch.
And, follow AG's instructions for cherry tomatoes is all. You shouldn't mess with AG's tomatoes.

I am growing an AG tomato and like you I am figuring it out. I just take a soft small paint brush and lightly stroke the flowers. But be careful because they can and may fall off. That can happen

You can put a small fan on them as I do. You can shake them from their base stem every time you walk by. I do that also. I also have one of those bee pollinators.

Thanks for the tips! An electric toothbrush seems to be working well, accidentally knocked one of the flowers off though, so I'll try using a brush. There seems to be a lot of lower leaves not getting any light, do you prune them or leave them there? It's day 49, and the only pruning I've done so far is topping them at 5 weeks.

Yes I do 'trim' them back some. I've also added additional lighting which helps my situation a lot cuz I'm growing in a Sprout. I keep my plants looking sharp, you might say.
