Can you grow a pothos in an AeroGarden? Would the lights be too bright? Is there a setting to grow lower light plants? I have a Harvest.

Hello and Welcome to the forum @luna.
If I am not mistaken this is a type of greenery plant like ivy. I can not say that it will or will not however if I remember these can grow in both soil and water. My grandmother had tons in the garden and around her patio and on her table outside.
I would say give it a try. Would you be planting from seed or a cutting? If a cutting I would make sure you rinse the roots off well before placing in your Harvest.
As to height, I do not remember or know how tall these get. If a spreading or hanging plant it may do fine. Remember the Harvest lights only go up 12".
Setting the lights to a lower setting. The Harvest does not have this ability however you can turn the lights at any time. Also maybe keeping the light at maximum height would assist as well.
Please keep us posted if you decide to try this. I would be interested in seeing how it does.

I have had fantastic luck rooting Pothos in a glass of water, and more than likely , with feeding, it would have gone on forever growing in that glass of water on the window sill. The roots were strong!
I would definitely grow one in the AG..a fun project! Just snip a grow sponge in half and sandwich the roots inside, put it in a plastic pod and...'Bob's Your Uncle!' as the saying goes. Only thing, though..they are viney and may want to grow all over... you may need a trellis of some sort. There was one at the local post office that grew in soil and stretched from the main room all along the ceiling into the foyer! it was a marvel to behold. I think if I had an empty machine, I would join you in the venture!

Luna, I agree with Shawn and Corinne. I have lots of AGs, and some pothos in dirt pots, but I wouldn't ever grow pothos in an AG. 1. Pothos can handle dark spaces. 2. I'd never waste valuable AG space on a plant that doesn't need it. 3. As Corinne said, it's very easy to propagate in water. 4. I think that pothos might be poisonous
