Seeds: Venus micro-dwarf yellow tomatoes from Heritage Seed Machine: Harvest Nutes: AG nutes and Calimagic My wife is the tomato lover in the house. She enjoyed these tomatoes when I grew them the first time so I decided to replant them, this time in a Harvest. I have a small supply of seeds so I planted just one. It took a while for it to germinate but here we are after 31 days:

39 days in and we’re getting some growth. I’m curious to see how this variety will do in a harvest by itself compared to sharing a bounty with a somewhat larger plant. I also wonder if the reduced wattage of the lights will be a factor in how this plant will do.

I have 2 micro dwarfs in a Harvest Slim. They are slow, but they are growing steadily. I planted them and this is day 39 today and I am just seeing the beginning of a few buds.
I think I spy a few buds trying to develop on yours, yes?

Have no fear. That plant will do very well. I grew red cherry toms and yellow cherry toms in two Sprouts! They did very well once I stopped adding Calimagic to the water. I found that AG's nutes were far better for the plants. The reduced lighting was just fine too, BTW... FWIW

FWIW I agree...the calcium-mag damaged my tom projects, but works wonderful on the pepper projects.

Yes, some buds are forming. I was thinking about pruning them just to see what will happen.

I’ve used it on tomatoes in the past but haven’t added any to this grow. Maybe I’ll just see how the plant does without it.

74 days planted and while we’re at the stage when the leaves start looking sad, we have plenty of fruit!

and looking forward to a taste test later on when they ripen.please keep us informed about these! I don’t eat tomatoes but I grew these along with the Aztek variety earlier in the year for my wife. She preferred these to the larger Aztek tomatoes. She just likes them and that’s about all I can get out of her for a review! 😂

Tomatoes are starting to ripen and I gave the plant a nice trim to help the inner leaves grow. Next time I grow micro-dwarfs I will experiment with keeping the lights at a higher level in order to see if they will get a bit taller.
