Will Bay grow in a AG??? I'm out of bay and would like to grow my own. Anyone out there try this herb before?

I saw Jacques Pepin on TV a long time ago saying that you could substitute a mint leaf for anything that called for a bay leaf. If it works for you, that would be great because mint is so easy to grow.
