Hello! I am planning to start this weekend when my Farm XL arrives. I have been planning while waiting on shipping and have bought various seeds from Baker Creek, Sandia, Tomatofest, and Johnny's. I am also going to be running an Aerogarden Harvest 360 with Herbs (two basils, thyme, rosemary, sage, and parsley) as well as an Aerogarden Harvest Elite with various Lettuces.
As for the Farm XL, I am planning to do one side tomatoes and one side peppers and was wondering everyones thoughts on how many plants I should put in per side. I was thinking 3? Or could I do more/should I do less?
Peppers I am planning: Shishito Jimmy Nardello Goat Horn
Tomatoes I am planning: Tasmanian Chocolate Beliy Naliv Sweet Million Hybrid
Other Tomato Seeds I purchased that I could sub out if recommended:
Roma VF Dwarf Firebird Sweet Amber Colored Gold Nugget Cherry Silvery Fir Tree Tiny Tim Black Sea Man
I am going to be using distilled water and General Hydroponics nutrients. Thanks again for any advice or opinions!!

Hello and WELCOME!
The Harvest units are great for herbs and lettuces. I do not own any Farms so can not assist much in that. However I think 3 should be fine. You may want to look at the individual Member gardens in the Garden Patches to see what others that own Farms grow and how they do.
I grew the Shishito and enjoyed them. I have not tried the others. As for tomatoes, I just grew my first one (AG Heirloom) and started two others.
Please keep us posted when you plant and look forward to pictures. I hope you love Aerogardening as much as many of us do.

I've only had my Farm since Christmas, so I'm not an expert and I defer to those with more experience. I planted two eggplants that will eventually need a lot of space and so I left a whole lot of pods unfilled. But that empty space nagged at me, and realizing that the eggplants were growing slowly and wouldn't need that room until later, I decided to plant some baby bok choy -- a variety which claims to be ready for harvest in 30 days. (Panago seeds, got them on Amazon) The bok choy sprouted in 3 days and are growing fast. They should be out of the way by the time the eggplants are getting big. So, just a thought ... you could limit the tomatoes and peppers but make use of the extra space with something you can harvest quickly.

My Farm is a Christmas gift as well. I put 4 Heirloom cherries in one side, it looked empty so I added one Black Cherry and one Sun Gold, that has filled the space nicely.
I may regret my choice in the end, but it works for me right now.
