I had to terminate the last set of greens in this one a couple of weeks ago, root rot and general neglect as we skipped eating healthy for a bit. The leaves were crammed together and became dusty like they all turned to mold so I terminated it and ran a high mixture of water and peroxide through the system for two weeks while I commandeered the grow lights for some soil seed starts. I am using a six pod kit so I'm only filling 6 holes. I'll see how this goes on space and production. With 10/12 spots planted in greens in December, the Farm made more greens than we ate. Machine: Farm XL Seeds: AG six pod kit, Heirloom greens Nutes: AG per AG recommendation - Added: 2 ml peroxide to keep algae down.

That should help. I had lettuce get mildewy from being planted too closely in a Bounty.
I mixed 1/3 cup 3% hydrogen peroxide with 2/3 cup water and sprayed the lettuce. It killed the mildew, but I will not plant more than 2 lettuce seeds in a pod again. If they have room to spread out, the lettuces will grow a lot bigger, too.

Thanks! I thought that might be what happened. I'm having mildew issues on my Bounty greens right now, I will try the mix on them and see if it helps. I have a lot of room in the Bounty because so few of the plants are growing vigorously.

Another one I thought I had updated... yada, yada, lettuce growing ;-) the stuff in the back are some seeds my sons and I found in the green house. There was a mangled, dried flower on the floor. We are seeing what happens.

More lettuce. I've been nibbling on this, so good! I moved a chive pod from the tomato side. I thought my tomatoes were on their downward spiral, I had to do some heavy trimming and there was a lot of room on the deck, they came back like crazy! I've swapped to flora series nutes in that side. I'm using those with a garage bubbler bucket project and they are working well for me there.

I love the idea of planting the found seed and seeing what happens!
The lettuce looks wonderful now that it has room to breathe.
I've read good things about the Flora nutes, especially with flowering and fruiting plants
Thanks for the updates.

Here is the update! This is after a big harvest (4 good salads with tomatoes from my Sun Gold cherry tomato in a bubbler bucket).

That looks like a good mix. I haven't tried growing the mixed greens yet.

Those got abused. It got too warm in the workshop and they bolted. I restarted on July 4th with only 6 pods and:

This is a very good mix. At this size we have already had two salads off of it and right after this picture we took a third. It won't be ready for another salad for a few days though.
