Hello, I'm new to the forum and AG. I bought a Harvest unit that came with herb pods. This one was marked "Mint" but it doesn't smell or look like any mint I've ever used so I took it out of my unit to start a different herb. Does anyone know what this could be? Attachment Deleted

Welcome to the forum!
That does not look like mint. My thought is oregano but I am not sure about that either. Sometimes pods get mixed up. Please write or call them to tell them and they will send you a new mint.

Are the leaves thick and succulent? I have read on another forum that some people are getting purslane instead of mint in their mint pods.

One tool I use in cases like this is the Plant ID forum. Simply submit your photo and someone always comes up with an answer! The forum focus is identifying mystery plants. Hope it helps you in your quest!

It's edible, but it's more of a salad green than a herb.

I emailed them a picture but haven't heard back. I'm assuming they're super busy dealing with orders during this apocalypse.

I used an app that identifies plants that said it could be purslane. I'm new to gardening so I don't think I would be able to judge if it's thick and succulent. The leaves don't seem thick and succulent to me. :-(

Just figured out how to add quotes from the person I'm replying to. LOL I used an app that identifies plants that said it could be purslane. Hm... Everyone seems to be leaning towards purslane.
