My EarthBox Original finally arrived today, so I'm planning to set it up soon... but I can't decide what I want to plant in it.
Ideally I'd like to grow something that would be too tall to grow in a Harvest, so maybe corn? Or maybe some too sprawling, like sugar baby watermelon? There's always so many choices...

Beans/legumes are off the table due to allergies, unfortunately, but I still grow some in soil for fun. They've always seemed to grow easily here, no need to add fertilizer or compost. Thank you for the forum link! I can see my time disappearing already  |

Ended up going with the Mini Pink Popcorn from MIgardener. Set up the EarthBox following the directions that came with it (and the materials, since I wanted to buy the ready-made kit for my first experience) but I didn't put any water in it yet. We're expecting heavy rainfall for the next few days, so I'm hoping that takes care of it for me  |

I wouldn't have thought to grow corn in an earthbox. I had ordered a couple of my first earthboxes last week. This mini variety sounds interesting, looking forward to seeing what the harvest looks like.

Is it doing any damage to the plant? Nope - if anything, frogs would eat other pests that try to damage the plant. |
