My beautiful cilantro doesn't look so beautiful at the bottom. Anyone know what could be going on here? Is the light too close? Is it getting too many nutrients? Too little? The tops look fine and the plants are big. In fact, I have already cut and used a bunch of it. I should also mention there are basil plants in there that do not look like this.

Hello and Welcome to the forum cookiehead31. I grow cilantro and sometimes that happens to me as well. May I ask how much nutrients are you giving? How long has this been growing? I find that when it is really thick and dense it happens to me more. They need some air flow. Snip those pieces out. Maybe thin the plant some in places. As for the lights, I keep them about 3-4 inches from the plant but if it gets too warm I may raise it some. Check the water temp with your finger. If it feels warm or hot then add some ice cubes to the tank. Herbs love cold water.

Thank you, Shawn! I was wondering if it was getting crowded in there. To answer your questions... I have been growing these for exactly 30 days and I just noticed this maybe 2 days ago. I put in 2 capfuls of nutrients about every 2 weeks (just whenever the screen tells me to). I am going to try raising the lights and will also check the water temp. Thanks so much for your help!
