Hi all,
I have the 6 pod Aerogarden, and grew my first herb garden partially successfully. I planted Basil, Mint, Parsley, Cilantro, and Chives.
The basil completely took over and killed off the chives and cilantro (which never really took hold). The mint was good for a while then started to fade and the parsley was user error (didn't prune it correctly).
That said, I'd like to start another garden and want to plant 3 herbs that will grow well together. Basil is a must - what should I use for the other two that will be hearty enough to compete with the Basil?
Many thanks! Dominic

Hello and welcome corpkid! Lots of herbs will grow together nicely. However for the more aggressive herbs like basil you will m=have to maintain more often. Let me ask you what herbs you are interested in growing. That may better help us help you.

Thank you for your reply and warm welcome!
I think I'd like to try Cilantro, (Genovese) Basil, and Italian Parsley. With six pods in my model (Harvest 360) it seemed pretty cramped. Is that a common concern and is planting six pods in this really a good idea?
I really appreciate it!

Genovese will do well. Cilantro and Parsley are slower to germinate I have found. All three will grow and get full and is doable. Just keep them maintained as they do fill out.
If you want, you can plant the parsley and cilantro first. Then after several days (or when you start to see growth in the other two) plant the genovese. They may all grow at similar rates (although it all depends on germination time).
I have grown herbs in my Harvest while one is tall and they other two are still small or still germinating. All did well.
Keep us posted on how it does.
