[Failed?/Sprout] Early Scarlet Globe Radish (Unknown Date)

WOW! Keep us posted. This looks like a fun one.

I did put together a guide on growing radishes in an AeroGarden, but honestly, I really like how fast radishes grow.

Yikes, it got stuck in the pod already. Had to tug on it quite a bit to get it out.

You can see that the bottom of the radish is "dented" in a way that corresponds to the prongs on the pod

Have fun! They're very fast and easy to grow. I want to try some other root vegetables, like turnips, in the future.

ERR0R1755 , I find it amazing you were able to grow the radish (very nice and detailed tutorial, thank you).   Here I am thinking the Aerogarden is obviously not for "underground" root vegetables, and voila, behold the radishes! Love discovering what folks are doing.

Something interesting: the roots of this radish are very thin and wispy, almost to the point of looking like a cobweb:


I've never seen this happen before, and I assume it's because I gave the radish very little nutrients overall. (maybe 2ml at the beginning and nothing else)

They should be thicker. I don't think the picture does it justice - it literally looks like the slightest amount of force would cause all of the roots to snap off. Even a sewing needle is thicker than these roots.

The radish is growing very well regardless, so it's not an issue - but if it was a different plant and I wanted to transplant it or move it to a different AeroGarden, I'm not sure I could do so without losing 75%+ of the roots.
