This thing still hasn't gone to seed, and now it's so big that it's tipping over the pod...

How many days after planting do you harvest? Have you sampled one yet,Error?

If I am growing one to eat (unlike this one), then I harvest it no later than the days to maturity on the packet. Most of the time I'll harvest it earlier, since plants grow faster in hydroponics. I had one I harvested 15 (!) days after germination. So far I've harvested and eaten two crimson giants. One I had waited too long for, so it became woody and wasn't very tasty. The other one was good, although I tended up peeling off the skin beforehand since it "ate" some of the rockwool

Nothing notable, it continues to grow and refuses to go to seed...
I'm half tempted to put something in the water that shouldn't be in order to try and stress it.

I put a splash of vodka into the Sprout. Good luck, overgrown radish.

The vodka did the trick and it's finally putting out little flower buds! I'll do an R&R soon to get rid of (most of) the alcohol.

I take back my earlier statement, the vodka definitely killed it. Maybe a smaller amount of alcohol would work better... Things I've learned with this grow: 1. Hydroponic radishes can be very resilient to bolting. 2. The Sprout and the Harvest do not give enough height for a radish to go to seed - more than a foot is needed. 3. If I'm going to grow a radish for seed, it's probably easier to just do it outdoors. This will require more experimentation As always, the end of one plant means the beginning of another. Time to find another plant to grow!
