It's beautiful, Mike. Wish I could grow a pepper that looked like that!

Mike,
Those are super healthy looking pepper plants. How many peppers would you estimate that you get from each plant before you restart your AG? Do you tend to keep your pepper plants for long periods of time? I am just wondering if the plants get less productive over time.

They look great from the under side. I'm getting a great deal of leaf curl on both the Early and Jalapeno M's. I think I overfed them the second feeding. The curl doesn't go away with the existing leaves that curl, but the new ones coming in can be OK.
As far as a pepper count I can't say. I don't count them. That can leave you disappointed from one crop to the next. Especially when you get the seeds from a very reliable source. The only pepper count I ever took was my lone ghost pepper plant. I started with two, but only one plant survived. On that I got 23 peppers. Less than I wanted because I made sauce with them.

I am finding I don't want to count my eggplants, peppers or tomatoes. I am just thrilled when I see a plant with lots of fruit on it.

I have a jalapeƱo plant started in an AG Harvest in February that has produced 50 peppers. The last set of blossoms almost all fell off, but the plant still looks healthy. I am just not sure when to start over again with a new project.

I run all of my projects for two harvests. I grow the first set of peppers until ripe. Pick those and let the second set grow and ripen. When that set of peppers is ripe, I pick them and terminate the project.
I find the second set is smaller than the first. Further crops are typically much smaller. Mind you, if you take all the hassle to keep the root ball trimmed nicely and change out the water often to manage the pH and suspended solids then the plant can be grown, in theory, for an indefinite time. But after the second crop I am ready to try something new.

Well, I'm a little confused. I planted the Jalapeno M and Early Jalapeno gardens, 3 plants each on Bounties on 8/16/2020. On 9/07/2020 I moved one plant from each of these gardens to an Ultra to keep the extra plants going. I believe I accidently overfed the two Bounties on the second feeding. Both of those gardens have developed a nasty leaf curl on them. Today, they were due for their third feeding.
Well, the combination garden should also be due today, but it says 9 days left until the next feeding. I did change it to match the other gardens on days planted on 9/07/2020. In order to set my mind ay ease, I dumped the water from all 3 gardens and started fresh with 10 ml nutes and 10 ml of Mooch.
It's ironic the leaves on the plants on the combination garden are perfect, no leaf curl. They were exposed to the second overfeeding for a week before I moved them.

Thanks Mike. This is a very good suggestion. I think I will be terminating my project after I pick the last set of peppers. I should have started new plants a few weeks ago. Oh well, you live and you learn!

I just made pickled jalapeƱos for the first time this weekend! Why have I never made them before? They are easy to make and absolutely delicious!

What's even better is pickled jalapeno relish. My base recipe uses pickled jalapeno, sweet peppers, habaneros, onion, garlic, vinegar, salt, cumin, turmeric, mustard seed and Old Bay. The cool part is you can add sweet peppers to make it milder, or leave the habanero out all together.
