I saw those in the image search when I was checking out the reds. Really cool looking!

They are gorgeous! And tabasco heat level is perfect for me!

This was one of my favorite sauce recipe's:
Jamaican Hot Yellow "Mushroom" Sauce
1 lb. Yellow Carrots
0.7 lb. Yellow Bell Peppers
.4 lbs. Jamaican Hot Yellow Peppers
20 oz. Apple Cider Vinegar
20 oz. Carrot Juice
4 oz. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 Tbs. Crushed Dried Basil
1 Tbs. Crushed Dried Dill
1 Tbs. Granulated Onion
1 Tbs. Fresh Ground Sea Salt
Sauté Carrots, bell Peppers and Garlic in pan until nearly soft. Add hot peppers and continue until everything is soft, but not mushy. Add vinegar and Carrot juice. Simmer 20 minutes. Add remaining ingredients, stir well and let cool. Run through food processor until smooth. Taste, and make seasoning adjustments. Put back in pan to heat and reduce to desired consistency.

BTW, the sauce recipe is not as hot as Tabasco Sauce. The pepper is as hot as a Tabasco Pepper. Here is the first soldier poking his head out at one week. Two others have loops in them. Nothing yet on the Red side. I think I see activity, but the Reds were slower when I grew them last, too.

Wow! My Bro has recently gotten into AG-ing and is a HUGE Jamaican Hot Sauce Fan. I took the liberty of emailing him the recipe and photos. I think he will appreciate this project and the former, Mike.

I hope he likes it. I made this sauce as a thicker hot sauce for hot dogs or hamburgers. You don't really taste the carrot. It is slightly sweet, with a nice little punch for your food.

These are all coming in at two weeks. I'm a little concerned because there is a little algae. It's feeding time. I may dump the water.

Dumping the water sounds like a good idea, too.
Maybe put a tablespoon of peroxide in the water, too?

I've decided to dump the Reds. I have enough seeds to restart. Well, two seeds per pod. I will dump the Yellows water when I get the reds replanted. I ran bleach water for 10 minutes. Now I'm on the first rinse. In a few minutes, I'll start a second rinse. Then replant.
I'm just going to change the yellows water and nutes. I looked for peroxide at the Dollar store earlier, but they don't carry it. I'll pick some up tomorrow.

I've been sick this week so I haven't had inclination to do more than water the plants. These have gotten out of hand. Here are before and after shots from my pruning this morning.
