I just leave them in the bag. They store well, and do not mold. Mine do tend to dry out a little, so I resoak them before using.

How do you store your unused sponges. The ones I just got seem to have been shipped wet and ,looks like the bag has holes in it to let the humidity out. Don't know if tossing that bag in the storage tote will be ok or not. What do you do with your stock of unused parks sponges? Thanks! Doug
Yes, they all come damp in a bag with holes in them.
They will dry out over time. I leave mine in their bag and put them in a box. I also leave them in the bag in my cabinet. Mine have never molded or gone bad no matter how I have stored them and I have been using them for years.

For those of you that like making their own systems, if you trim off about an inch off the bottom of Park Seed Jumbo Sponges, that will fit perfectly in a 2-inch net cup. That's what I was going to do to my new tote, but the 2-inch net cup wouldn't fit the lid.
