I just started the new Farm with Jamaican Mushroom Peppers. I used a new package of sponges from Park Seed. I love them. The hole is more than twice the size. It is much easier getting the seeds inside.

I bought the 60. I can't imagine them any different, though.

I am going to order some of these Park Seed Sponges. I've been having aerogarden drama because of molding/defective sponges. So glad that you mentioned Park Seed. They appear to be the best.

As a side, it is not always the sponges. We have (or ERR0R1755) has come to figure out it is the addition of nutes when you start a projects that causes algae if this is the issue you are having. See this thread for more. But I do use Park Sponges

Hi Shawn, thank you. I will keep this helpful article in my newbie library link! My issue was root rot at the sponge. The plant was fine inside the sponge, but the sponge was complete mush

yes. When they are on sale on Amazon I get those. Park has the best deal, though.

I have been using Park's for the last...year and a half? And really like them. However, I recently had to re-order and could not stomach the 6.95 shipping charge for a $10 order....also my last order took almost a month to arrive. So, I decided to try the Urban Leaf ones off Amazon ($12 for 50). They are arriving tomorrow, after having ordered Monday night. In the Spring when I order seeds and more supplies, I will likely re-order from Park Seeds. I just have major issues with charging that much shipping for the slowest delivery method. I will update my thoughts once they arrive and I have planted with them. I got an email from the owners at Urban Leaf with a coupon for my next order and asked I write them an email with an honest review/impression of how they compare to AG and Park sponges, which I thought was kind of interesting!
As a side note: all my growing and transplanting May-Aug I somehow went through 60+ sponges over the summer, so when I discovered I was almost out of sponges this weekend, I was itching to get some fast.

How do you store your unused sponges. The ones I just got seem to have been shipped wet and ,looks like the bag has holes in it to let the humidity out. Don't know if tossing that bag in the storage tote will be ok or not. What do you do with your stock of unused parks sponges? Thanks! Doug
