Then you need to determine how much longer you will give them to produce. Since you've changed your nutrient level to 12 ml, I wouldn't let it stretch more than another couple of weeks. I have had many projects that just didn't produce. Is this the Burpee variety? Those are supposed to mature in 3 months. Good luck. This is from Refining Fire Chiles, and I've never seen this happen before. Even with the Cayanne Long Slim that I barely remember to water, grew in too small of a bottle, and only give a couple drops of nutes at a time - it still produced peppers. Going back further to the Jamaican Bird Pepper that was way too big for a Harvest, even through I ended up terminating it, it had pollen as soon as it had flowers. I'm honestly not sure what is wrong with this one. I think I'll contact the seller and see if they've heard of this issue, but I'll give it two more weeks (until Feb 20) to produce otherwise.

I don't think I'd contact Jim Duffy on that. I ticked him off when I contacted him on the Yellow 7-Pot seeds that didn't germinate. I was surprised he answered my email himself. He is a major supplier to Amazon.

Well, the email is sent now - I don't think the issue is with the seeds themselves (unless it was a spontaneous mutation that was just in this particular seed) but if I get a helpful response then I'll post it here.

I dont know what it is with the seeds this year.. but I know mike and I both ordered from the same place (and it be be this one) but we got seeds that were all duds and did not germinate. If from the same place could it be they were not processed correctly? Maybe not dried long enough? I know I never did write them, thought about it but did not.
EDITED: Yup mine were also from the same place.

The response I got from Jim Duffy wasn't very... inspiring.
Oh well. I'll give this two more weeks and see what happens.

Sounds like a guy who refuses to accept that there’s more then one right way to grow plants. That sort’s always annoying

I agree with him in one respect. You can't compete with growing in California sunshine. But we all know we can utilize what tools we have to grow peppers indoors. The super-hots were always an experiment for me. Even now, I'm looking for the peppers I can grow with flavor first, and heat being secondary to prepare the dishes I want.
Jim Duffy is one of the best pepper growers, in the world. Unfortunately, I believe he's become quite arrogant about his methods. I'm sure we could create indoor grow tents to reproduce his success. But at what cost? Grow lamps, electricity and temperature control are expensive.
Green energy policies will raise electricity costs. I hope I can still afford to run my air conditioner and gardens during the Summer.

Whenever someone invents a way to have Californian sunshine indoors without (or with very little) electricity usage, I'll be one of the first willing to test it

Lots of leaves and flowers, but still no peppers.

The peppers will come. It has one week left to show results, or it will get the axe. Or scissors, whatever is easier for me to find.

You know Duffy's site says these are 3-4 ft. tall plants. Burpee says they are 13-15" tall, but 2-3 foot wide. Looking at your plant, Burpee looks more accurate.

I've gotten to the point where for fruiting plants, I don't bother with checking height since as far as I can tell, you can always just trim down the plant and it will still grow at a smaller height, even if it takes longer.

I try to keep my plants under 3 feet. They are typically shorter indoors anyway.

I grew the Burpee ones and they were the shorter of the two sizes.

I'm going to consider this a failure, although I don't believe it was my fault. I'm not sure what I could have possibly changed to cause this issue, so it's probably either a genetic issue/mutation or some weird plant disease. I have some big plans for my next plant in this Bounty, but for now, I'll use this one as an experiment to see if I can bonchi it successfully. Before: After:

I think this one is going to survive the transplanting and trimming!
