Day "14" (I honestly do not recall when I planted this but around 2 weeks ago, but not quite because the reminder has not gone off). So, I planted my last 4 pods of AG Bok Choy that I had been loving for most of 2020 . I also threw in 2 pods of mustard greens. These are faithful and figured a sure bet...
All germinated and all (were) doing well, but very, very, very slowly growing and the last few days noticed discoloration. So, I "resent" the cycle, did an R&R and fed. Now, it is very possible, I did not ever feed them in the first place; using the method many folks have recommended for Harvests of not adding nutes until the seeds germinate. I do not think this is the case, as the water had the slightly greenish water from nutes.
Anyhow...we will see if a rinse, nutes, and the warmth of the mylar tenting will help it live its best life.

[The Bok Choy are the 4 "corner/outside" pods; the mustard are the two "inner/center" pods].
Will update as things happen (or fail to happen).
Note: I did not no (or very little) algae...so the basement is perhaps a better place for this "cursed" Harvest than the kitchen). Double note: while these are growing and no algae, they are still "off" the usual furthering my theory that there is something not quite right about this machine...as I have lamented many times.

I have forgotten to feed so many plants, that I now just add half strength nutes at the start. That will hold them until the Add Nutes light comes on.
I do get a little algae, but not enough to bother me.

I am usually pretty good; I am PRETTY sure I did add nutes! But... Algae only really bothers me when the garden is early on and it seems to inhibit growth/kill the seedling (which happens often in the Harvests for me). Once they get going, a little algae does not really bother me. I just shudder when I see little seedlings and the pod covered in green. I found the Park sponges get a lot more algae than the AG ones and the Urban Leaf ones I started to use *but I find the Park sponges easier to get rid of it*. The bok choy look a bit healthier today (could be wishful thinking lol).

So the pods are all looking MUCH improved since feeding (and likely from the tenting). This morning I was able to take most of the domes off; and the leaves look green instead of yellow and saggy. 2021-01-14_12-58-20 by Aaron Blasyak, on Flickr Compared to two days ago-- night and day. This makes me happy as bok choy and mustard greens have been some of my least fussy veg that I have grown so was not thrilled at their lackluster progress-- they are off and running now!
