Anyone else experiencing mega slow internet for the past 3 days? I have project photos, but can't get the site to load to even sign in,. Down/uploads such as knitting patterns time out and fail All other sites take FOREVER. It took me over 3 minutes just to log in here.
Anyone else experience this or is it just my server?
Reminds me of the days when I had phone dial-up, although Dsl isn;t much better.

Yes, I think my problem identifies with what Dawn said..it is EVERYWHERE> I dare not log out of this site because it will take me forever to get back in.It is not this site's problem, Shawn.

Probably just online holiday shopping bogging down the severs. It was projected that on-line shopping this holiday season was going to be the most its ever been.

Well I hope it speeds up.
IF you decide to log out of everywhere, try clearing your history and cache. That can sometimes bog a computer down.

I dont do disk frags.. maybe once every 6 or so months.
You can get CCleaner, the free version and run that periodically.

did all that. I think it is just that everyone is on line shopping that the network is impeded.

Restarting modem and router can also do wonders if your internet is running slowly.
I usually check my ISP at downdetector.com to see if there is anything up. The larger service providers always have some people reporting problems, but there's usually a pretty solid spike in reports if they are having an issue.

Another thing that can really slow things down is using the ISP supplied DNS server, which is usually too overloaded to be useful. I usually end up using 8.8.8.8 (Google), which isn't the fastest, but is the easiest to remember.

You have far more patience than I do- by the time a week rolls around, I'd have rebooted my machine, the router, and the modem, replaced the router if that didn't work, and been on the phone with my ISPs support people every single day.
