At this point, my Aerogarden peppers, radishes, and celosia have bugs. I am not sure about the mizuna, beets, swiss chard and tomatoes. So far, it appears they have not discovered the grow tent in another part of the house. So I am going to terminate all my Aerogarden projects that I find the first sign of bugs on, and see if I can end this rapidly spreading infestation. I will restart when I am certain the bugs' life cycles have been wiped out.
I think that since we have had such a warm winter, and Ron, the dog and I are outside a lot, that we have probably brought bugs in that normally would be dormant in winter.

Oof I'm so sorry to hear Sher. That's heartbreaking. Did you ever find out what kind of bugs were plaguing your plants?

Oh dear, oh, dear. I'm so sorry! My heart goes out to you & know that I'm sending bug thwarting vibes to you too! Where's the bug zapping emoticon, when you need it!?

I just emailed photos to our county extension office, affiliated with UGA, for their help in identifying the bugs.
Will update when I hear back from them.

I am sorry this happened. It breaks your heart to do it I know. However in the end the bugs will be gone and you can start over. Is there a room you can close off to start them (once units sterilized) to start them and then once the infestation is gone can move them out? Or do you want to wait?
As for Ron, you and the dog, is there somewhere you can wipe off and down before entering the main house? For us there is not. But I hate bugs so bad I always run my hands down Piper ( and Proxy before her) to to make sure bore coming in. And I kinda do it to myself as well. Especially because I also do this to look for ticks in the spring and summer with all the deer.

Excellent idea! Gotta know who the enemy is in order to take proper actions!

I think I will just wait, Shawn. There really is no way to isolate them.
I got rid of the peppers, radishes, celosua and mizuna last night.
I will thoroughly inspect the rest of the Aerogardens today.
(Glad I only have 11. )
The grow tent looks good now, but at the first sign of bugs, I will wipe it out, too. I do not have the endurance to fight a bug war in there.
I have tried to stick with mostly organic remedies inside. That may change.
There is no way Ron will be picky enough to do a bug wipedown when he comes in. I can spray Mikkey with Adams repellent.
Thanks for caring. This is pretty depressing.

Don't get depressed. Now you have time to clean them, organize and plan what will be planted next. I have been there (not the bugs) but ending all and starting anew.
Think of all the possibilities

Thanks for the help in refocusing and looking beyond this!
So far I have been impulsive about what I plant. Actually planning an Aerogarden indoor garden with what I actually want to eat, along with a couple of special flowers at a time, will be a new approach.

Does that make sense to you? Not sure where the picture went, but they didn't look like aphids to me. But then, they are the experts & I'm far, far, from that!!

I discovered aphids can reproduce sexually and asexually, and they have a winged stage.
This must have been the winged stage.
