I will be cleaning out my Harvest to plant more flowers on my desk.
I have a few packets of seeds here but I am also not opposed to buying new Below you will find what I know I have grown and am willing to again along with seeds I have not used yet. If you think I should grow something else, post the name and I will research. What I have Grown (That I can remember)
Moulin Rouge Pansies Hypoestes Alyssums (Honey Scented) Snaptinis Nano Geraniums Portulaca Happy Hour Mix Several Marigold Varieties Twinny Snapdragons Gazanizas
| Seeds I have Unopened
Snapdragons Floral Shower Mix
Nicotiana Avalon Mix Too tall for Harvest Alyssum Gulf Winds Alyssum Summer Romance Minulus Magic Blotch
|
So what should I grow? Something from the list above OR post what you think I should grow next.
ALSO, if anyone is interested in a Flower GAL, post that as well. If enough interest we can do that too!

I like the look of those Nicotiana Avalon Mix.
But I will be buying some of the Minulus Magic Blotch. Those look like a murder scene. LOVE it.

I have never grown nicotiana and would love to see that dwarf variety grown.
But the mimulus is a proven show stopper!

You can never go wrong with marigolds. I use them outdoors around my vegetable garden to keep out other garden pests.

Put your seeds in a bag. Close your eyes and grab a packet -- and grow that one!

Love the thought of drawing something at random to grow, such a fun way to decide! Or do a single pod of each of the packets you havenβt grown yet, so you can see them all!!

I like the idea of a mix. Pick 3 and grow 2 pods of each? Kind of like a mixed bouquet?

I have done a mix before and unless they are all of the same type (like marigolds) I have not had success. I am so difficult LOL

Ok so here are pictures of the seeds I DO have. Should I grow one of these or something totally different. Yes I know you have all given opinions but here are pictures... I am so difficult this time around LOL... Gazania Nicotaina Too tall for the Harvest and attracts aphids, gnats etc
Alyssum Gulf Winds Alussum Sweet Romance
Magic Blotch Bogonia Gerbera The last picture will be iffy on height but I can always place in a bounty IF needed at a later time.

Here is the tally ... (I will keep updated if anyone else replies...
2 for Magic Blotch
2 for the Nicotaina (Mark's vote) Too tall for the Harvest. Aphids, Gnats can and often cause issues for these

That's a tough choice...both are beautiful, each in their own way. Do you have another machine? Do both? I cast 1/2 vote for each! LOL.

There are more choices besides the two, did you see all the pictures? ALso I prefer all one and not split

Well then, I guess I would have to go with Mark's choice. I mean, he probably knows what you'll enjoy most? Or, what is like "happy wife, happy life" for men? Anyway, it is your desk, what would you most enjoy seeing for a while?

Uh, oh! I'm changing my mind! Grow the Magic Blotch! I just read that Nicotaina is dangerous even to handle. Very poisonous if ingested. Pretty as it is, I would skip it.

Everything I read says if ingested can be dangerous and I know Piper does not eat plant and neither do I so I am not worried.

I am taking the Nicotaina off the table for INDOORS only. Why? Not because of them being dangerous because unless they are ingested they are not even if they have nicotine in them... but because these will get too tall for the Harvest and they not only attract hummingbirds but also gnats, aphids and other insects. The latter is the MAIN reason. I do NOT want bugs in my home.
I WILL be growing these in my containers on my deck this summer.
