Terminated the kitchen Coleus and the Sprout greens, and now I have kitchen herbs!! Cut the two basils back quite a bit to give the parsley and valerian time to get bigger before raising the light Put the oregano and thyme in the Sprout And have a lovely new jar of Coleus in water after terminating it! I also have three trays of basil leaves being dehydrated right now

Kitchen herbs are wonderful! And I'm glad to see the coleus still around.
Hooray for the basil!

Yes herbs are great. I love the way they make your house smell when you harvest some.
May I ask is that AG oregano?

The oregano (actually all the herbs planted here) are from Baker's Creek

They like their new home! And the oregano is blooming. I feel like I read somewhere you're not really supposed to let herbs bloom until you're ready to take them out/collect seeds, but the pink blooms are so pretty!!

Gotta trim the valerian today. I'm tempted to try it out but I'm also a bit nervous to find out what it would do to me. I bought and grew it on a lark, not because I have any problems sleeping. After Easter I'll probably just transplant it to a pot outdoors and let it do what it will. I'm actually tempted to end the whole machine after Easter and start over - took out the Thai basil after tasting it, because I didn't like it. Tasted a bit like liquorice, which I do like, but not something I'd want to flavor my food with. Cut down the basil because it had started to overshadow the parsley. Parsley does extremely well outdoors here, so letting it get as big as it likes until Easter, and it'll go outside with the valerian. The thyme and oregano are both very well-behaved in the Sprout

I love any excuse to start new gardens. Especially herbs.
I'm with you. I don't care for the thai basil flavor either.
