I recently put in a bunch of new pods and almost all have sprouted. I am pretty sure 1 of the nonstarters doesn’t have seed in there- Swiss Chard- but the other- Dinosaur Kale- does. I just noticed that only the bottom tip is wet. I switched its spot with the Chard just to test it and its still not absorbing water. The other pods are wet and there is sufficient water. Have you ever seen this? I can see the seeds. But they are dry. Can the pods dry up?

Mark sure the unit deck is level. Also look to see if water is coming out of the little spout in the pod hole. If not there is a dial on the pump that you can adjust. You make have to do this for a stronger water flow.

@shawn I checked and all is well. I almost flooded my deck when I tested the pump and checked the spout hole. I don’t think this is an issue with the Farm. Or I can’t imagine what it could be. Why would the Swiss Chard be fine when I swapped it out with the Kale? Every other pod is ok. Just the Dina Kale, regardless where I insert it. Reminds me of hydrophobic soil I had to deal with last year. All 5 cu yards of it. What a nightmare that turned out to be. I didn’t even know that was a thing. Here’s what it looks like. It occurred to me to soak it in a glass, which finally resulted in it acting like a sponge. I put it in the hole and will see how it goes. flic.kr/p/2kL3kXP

lizbleu , I have started soaking all my pods until they are saturated before planting. That makes sure they will wick water properly.
I also had a couple of sponges that wouldn't wick before I started doing that.

sher Thanks- good to know. Its the first one I ran into like that. I will incorporate your technique. I hope the seeds are ok. They’ve been sitting there for a week. We’ll see.
