I've seen recommendations to keep water with nutrients premixed in the fridge. Do you add that as needed as well as feeding the same amount? That seems like it might be too much. Or do you lower the biweekly feeding amount to compensate?

I use only water between feedings. For peppers I add Mr. Mucha Stash, a calcium magnesium supplement after 30 days every week.

When I add water between feedings, I'll often add 5ml of peroxide to discourage any algae growth

I've seen recommendations to keep water with nutrients premixed in the fridge. Some people swear by topping off with pre-mixed nutes between feedings, however they don’t keep them in the fridge as far as I know. You don’t want to shock your plants with icy water.

I top off the younger plants with water. Older, larger gardens suck up tons of water overnight. Those are the ones I fill with a mild mix...lower than the suggested amount. I also read the plants to see if they are stunted and could use more or less if the leaves look like they are taking too much.. My polka dot project, although a 6 pod project, looks sickly with the 6 pod garden amount of nutes. I feed them a small amount and top off with plain tap water..not refrigerated.

Thanks for all the responses- it sounds like just water is the way to go for the most part, unless there are visible signs the plants could use more food.

I put 11 ml of AG nutes in the AG No-Spill Watering Jug, and refill as needed. BUT, I always monitor the nute concentration with my meter, being careful not to over-feed. Kate offered links to a meter and a chart in her post at aerogardenaddicts.com/thread/747/tds-meter-chart

I premix with General Hydroponics Flora Series and CALiMAGic in a gallon jug of distilled water, stored at room temperature, but I'm not 90+ degrees. Everyone gets it.
