I currently have a Bounty Basic growing two mini tomatoes, romaine, and an assortment of herbs. I added a Farm XL for cherry tomatoes, patio tomatoes, and bell peppers. I tried to order a Bounty Elite from an Amazon seller with the idea to move the herbs to the Bounty Elite where they would enjoy more light and that would leave more room for more salad greens in the existing Bounty.
Well, it now seems probable that the Amazon seller is not able to actually deliver a machine to me, so I am rethinking my choices. It seems that an issue for me is how many plants can you successfully grow in a given machine. If I can really only fit the two mini tomatoes in a machine, then am I better off with a Harvest Slim where I can put them farther apart frobountym each other? It seems like the trade off of price/ light wattage, growing height, and actual geographic space are hard for me to sort out. I know a lot of you have used Harvest models and I would love to hear your experience with them. Is there enough light for success with the tiny tomatoes? Is there enough height for salad greens? Herbs?
I figure I could buy 2 or even 3 Harvests for the price of another Bounty. I welcome your advice!

virginiab , my personal experience is that the light distribution is not that great in the Harvest Slim. The light seems to be spread out too much.
For plant placement, I like the Harvest 360. The light distribution seems to be better. But I like my regular little Harvests, too.
If I had to choose one, I'd go with the 360.
The regular Harvest seems more compact and is easier to find places for.
Just my opinion, as always!

I am not a tomato person so it is hard for me to give input on that. But also remember the height of the lights. Harvest only raise 12" were as the Bounty raises 24"
My personal preference is the Bounty (any model) because of the wattage (30W, 40W or 50W). Right after that it is the Harvest. There used to be other models in the past that I liked but no longer available. The different wattage of the Bounty took over.
I love my Harvests (I have had many of them) for herbs, lettuce, flowers. I never tried to use it for anything else. Then again I am really a pepper, herb and flower person. OH I have grown Peas and Beans in mine as well
I know I was of no help LOL...

While I don't have a Harvest model, in any version, I do appreciate the height of the Bounty. I now have 2 of the AG Bounty Elite Artisan model. I love the height and the wattage...and the look of the Artisan bowl too. I love the wi-fi and being able to check on them with the app. That said, I can give a little input on the different in height, because I have a Sprout and I have several AG Farm models. I started with 2 Farm 24+ models, then purchased a Farm 24 Basic and last a Farm 24 XL. I haven't used the XL yet, saving it for the Fall and no more camping trips. So, the + models have a 24 inch height, the Basic is only 12 and the XL a whopping 36 inches! I thought I would use the Basic for lettuce and greens, but after one round of it, I liked it better with the + model. While I didn't raise the lights all the way, it was more than allowed in the Basic. So, I think of going back to the + for lettuce. I'll likely try some cherry tomatoes in the Basic and see how that works out. Anyway, it is a fun journey! Let us know what you decide. Oh, and watch the sales at AG! I find they have the best prices, if you can hold out for the best sale on the model you pick.

Sher, thanks for sharing your experience with the Harvest models. I already have a Harvest 360 on order as an office-warming gift for my spouse who got a big promotion. She likes having flowers in the office, so this is going to be a flower pot with super powers for her new desk. And I will enjoy getting to handle the 360 as we get it set up in her office.
I'm especially glad to have the assessment of the Slim, as that one had been calling to me. You helped me turn down the volume on that particular voice.
I have a couple of days to consider things and I hope to be able to contain my enthusiasm (and my plants) until another decent sale. Maybe there will be a July 4 sale....
Since I was expecting a new Bounty, I went ahead and started some new plants for it and tucked them temporarily into empty spots in my Farm, between tomato plants that are currently only 2" tall.

virginiab, the 360 will be a lovely gift especially for flowers. As for your almost Bounty, I know they run sales all the time. Also be sure to check Amazon and also Woot in the Gardening section. They will sometimes have really good sales too. As for tucking them in the Farm, I too have done the same thing until other spots or machines opened up

After the input from folks here, I went back to my original plan to add a Bounty Elite instead of a couple of Harvests. I got my refund from Amazon and ordered a Bounty at a good price from Aerogarden.
Well, there was a small deviation from plan as I was comparing prices. I saw a Harvest 360 at Walmart.com for only $75 and thought it would be nice to have that for flowers at home and as a way to get flowers going for my wife's 360 at the office, so I can help keep her office looking nice. So I ordered that, too...
