I have a Bounty Elite and I have tips turned on. Why the hell does it send me tips at MIDNIGHT. It makes my phone beep. Can't they send the push notification for the tips through at a normal hour like 3pm?

If you go into the app you can turn off the Audio Alerts OR can set on and off times for them. However these are for food and low water.
There is also a Tips Notification option in the app under Help/Tips/FAQ's. You can turn off the "Gardening Tips"

I had to chuckle when I got the "New Notifications" email for a new thread, it read: "The board Sprouts to Bountys has a new thread Annoying Tips by bigshot." But, it got my attention enough that I clicked to read it!  Hope you are amused too, bigshot! |

I turn notifications off on my phone from 10 pm to 7 am except for alarms every day.
And I don't keep the phone in the bedroom. It's a nice break from the intrusiveness of it all.

I'm with you Sher! I don't like phones or any listening devices in the private areas of the house! Just gives me the wee-bee-gee-bies! (Not sure of the spelling on that!?) Guess I watch too much TV...LOL. Mikey still keeps his in there, in case of emergencies with his mom, in the night. But it is in a drawer and we might or might not hear it? |

I manage a crew that is from Japan to Amsterdam, so I need to be available when there's a problem. I sent a note to AeroGarden asking them why the tips come through at midnight... every single night!!

I keep all alarms and tips off. I just look at my units to see if they need anything.

I think, what folks are trying to say is that you can turn off the AG Audio Alerts, within the AG app itself. Has nothing to do with your phone. Go to the AG App, click on a machine, bring up "menu", Garden Settings, Audio Alerts. You can also do some modifications by going to "My Account", click on Notification Options and turn off ones you do not want. |

It's not the AeroGarden that is beeping. It's the phone. I wrote AeroGarden and they agreed that it was dumb to send out the push notification on the tips at midnight. They are going to suggest to the app team making it happen at a decent hour. Until then, I turn off the tips. Waste of a feature.
