My very favorite is spearmint. It is so good in beverages and fruit desserts, teas, and lots of other things.
I used to make a spearmint jelly that my Dad loved.

Seconded on the spear mint, I love that flavor the most! Tied with that is lemon balm for a very refreshing citrus flavor and scent. I like to make a tea out of lemon balm leaves to help me relax when stressed.

I have yet to grow mint. You will have to tell us what you buy and then how they grow and taste.
