AG came out with a MicroGreens kit for the AG Bounty, so I bought one. It isn't too expensive and although AG doesn't sell them, they tout that one can grow Bean Sprouts in them. So, I ordered some Alfalfa seeds and some Mung Bean seeds from TrueLeaf. They arrived a couple of days ago. I checked my order for the AG MicroGreens kit and it shipped yesterday, with an expected delivery date of Sunday, 10/15. That info came from Fed Ex. Since it is coming Fed Ex Ground, I would be surprised if it does get delivered on Sunday, but who knows? Maybe with the heat, they are expediting "indoor gardening supplies" as the packages are usually marked? I don't remember if my Fed Ex Ground guy comes on Sundays or not. When we first moved here, out in the farm lands of the PNW, Fed Ex only came out this way a couple of times a week...so I asked everyone to send stuff via UPS or USPS, if possible. Now, I get Fed Ex TWICE A DAY on some days...yesterday being one. I told the Ground guy, Fed Ex just left! And he said, pointing to his truck, that was the Air guy, I'm Ground. LOL. He is a nice guy and we are sure to give him a bottle of cold water on warm or hot days! Anyway, more to come when I actually get the kit. Since I have an extra AG Bounty now, I may start it up and have microgreens by week's end!

I checked the Fed Ex site & it still says "Expected Delivery Sunday, 8/15, by 8PM" -- but it also says that the last scan was Kansas City, MO. So, it can't be on a truck, out for delivery now and I don't see it arriving today! Oh, well.

I cant wait to see how it works for you. One piece of advice. While it (I think) states it is top rack dishwasher safe it is not. Hand wash. Someone tried it and they warped.
I hate when they say something will be arriving on a certain day and then it is not. But I have ha Fedex deliver here on a Sunday.

The MicroGreens Kit arrived this evening. While it looks pretty cool, I'm disappointed too. Once again, they forgot my order of Pod Labels...and, the Aerofelt doesn't even come close to being a match to the trays. Sigh.
So, I'll be in contact with AG tomorrow. Busy cooking dinner tonight. (Meatloaf, mashed taters & gravy + peas...Mikey has been craving a meatloaf sandwich, so need to make the meatloaf for dinner and then meatloaf sandwiches with the leftovers!!)

And so, the dance begins! I did the online "Chat" with AG about the missing labels and the felt being too small. They wanted pictures via email. I sent them, let's see how this goes? The item is useless without the felt...and the too small felt doesn't help. The other thing we noticed is that one actually has to use parts from your original Bounty deck (the pump and the pump base, but NOT the pump tower). May not be a big deal, but I wish they included those parts, or at least the base and one could add a pump so as not to need to take things apart? Of course, maybe after I've done it a few times, it won't seem to be any deal at all? Oh, and Shawn, for a "wish list" item, I wish AG would allow one to "sign up" to be notified when out of stock items are back in stock? Instead of having to check the website regularly? Of course, people get busy & forget to check...sigh. Or, at least this people does...LOL.

Well, I heard back from AG Customer Service via email today. They said that they are out of stock for the Felt that fits the Bounty, and they will send it when they get it. In the meantime, they feel that the Felt sent will work fine, just use fewer seeds. Sigh. No mention of the missing Pod Labels. Personally, I beg to differ on the usefulness of the received Felt.

Lol wow. I know they're probably doing their best, but that felt is so small!! Good luck on the pod labels, did you bring it up again when they didn't mention it?

Lol wow. I know they're probably doing their best, but that felt is so small!! Good luck on the pod labels, did you bring it up again when they didn't mention it? Yes, I asked what about the labels!? To tell you the truth, I should have just asked for a refund on that. I don't know if I want to continue using them?? And, on the felt: "For the felt, this is very disappointing. Personally, I feel that the smaller ones are not workable, regardless of your belief that they work. Why would you send the unit, if you donβt have the felt? The entire unit should be considered out-of-stock. JMO." And, that's the way I feel. Had they told me they didn't have the right felt, I think I would have cancelled the order.

Yeah, you might be able to cut the third piece of felt to get full coverage on one side, but that really defeats the purpose of a plug-and-play sort of system this is advertised as. And that still leaves you with one side that only has partial coverage!

I got an email that they are sending the Bounty-size felt. Still no mention of the labels. So, I asked about them again.

Do you need labels? I have a ton of the non-stick on ones. They all say Petunia on them but they are usable

Thanks Shawn! I don't really need them, I just added them in an attempt to get up to the free shipping mark. But, they charged for them, I paid for them, I didn't receive them. Principle? And, doubly frustrating when they simply ignore it? Oh, well. Life is short & I need to get over it?

Finally! An email saying they are sorry & they are sending the labels. Sheesh! In the meantime, I did order and receive seeds and felt from TrueLeaf. I think I'll try a 50/50 split test when the AG felts arrive. See how they work. The seeds I bought are alfalfa and mung bean! Anxious to try them, but will probably just start with the AG supplied seeds anyway?

My Bounty Microgreens kit (arrived yesterday) has the same four patches of felt. Now I know that it wasn't a mistake!
I almost missed the bag of seeds, because it was thrown into the large shipping box, and not inside the kit box. I have an old Bounty with navigation buttons that I'll convert to microgreens when the petunias are big enough to transplant.
FWIW, I wash the Bounties in the dishwasher top rack on fast wash. When they come out, I put the deck on the bowl, turn the whole thing over, and weight it with something. The still-warm Aerogarden parts don't warp then.

One of mine warped enough that I ordered a replacement from AG. They sent one for free--I guess because it was a model they were no longer selling. However, I sent the slightly warped one through again, and weighted it while warm, and now it's fine.
This is off topic, so I'll stop with this remark, but I've also sent the Farm trays through the dishwasher (top rack). You can leave the pump in, but you need to remove the circuit board at the back (one screw).
