It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of Ron's passing. Ron passed on September 1, 2021 and is now at peace and with GOD.
Rest In Peace Ron. I know you will be missed
Please join me in sending condolences to Sher . While she may pop in from time to time she will not be posting for a bit. She tells me she will be back. While I look forward to her return, she must take the time needed to grieve and heal.

Oh, Sher! I'm so sorry to hear of Ron's passing. Please know that my heart goes out to you and you are in my thoughts and prayers. As Shawn said, he is with God in Heaven now, no more pains or suffering. May the good memories be of some comfort to you now, until you meet again. Hugs

Oh no, how awful for Sher! I'm so, so sorry to hear of Ron's passing. COVID is so cruel--when someone gets it, there is no way of telling how severe the illness will be. 😢😢😢
Thanks for letting us know, Shawn.

In lieu of flowers, my middle sister sent me two dozen big, fat, yummy, chewy homemade chocolate chip cookies.
Oh NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

I understand that cookies can be frozen...and enjoyed slowly...

Sorry Ginny, good cookies can never be eaten slowly. Ask a diabetic.

I have been through hell and back. After they picked up my husband's body, I could not get a word on where he was. I would call and ask when I could identify the body and no one would return the call. Then I discovered the funeral home I had selected in our l ittle county seat town was a web page only. I never got the chance to identify his body and had no clue where the body was despite countless calls, none of which were returned. Finally I called the hospital yesterday to find who picked the body up. They patched me through to the company with two names and I guess they decided they had better talk to me since the hospital called. I discovered his body is in a ghetto funeral home in a horrible part of Atlanta. So if they are not lying to me again, I should be able to pick up his ashes and death certificates sometime Monday. If I survive the trip to that part of Atlanta. Needless to say I am an emotional wreck. I really don't want to discuss this anymore. I don't have the emotional strength. But I needed to get it off my chest. I will continue commenting and replying to your posts, but it will be a while before I post pictures (even though my eggplant is blooming).

Sher, I heard that you don't want to discuss, but I can't get this out of my mind..."If I survive the trip to that part of Atlanta." Will they deliver the ashes (& DC) to you? Even my doggie crematorium has this service. (Also, ask for at least 3 copies of the DC, as you'll need "original" copies for more than one place.)

They will absolutely not deliver. I will be okay. I have a lot of people praying for me.

Hell and back and back again, it sounds like, Sher. At least you seem to have traced the body--good luck to you on the trip to Atlanta on Monday. You are an incredibly strong person to have held yourself together at all in the face of all this. 😢

Thank you, lynnee. At least Ihave peace knowing where his body is.
I wrote the funeral home asking if they could mail everything to me if I paid the extra charge on my credit card. We will see.
It does bother me where he ended up but it helps to know where he really is now.

campingcorgis, on your suggestion I emailed the funeral home askingg if they could bill me for shipping charges and mail everything to me. I am not sure they will answer, but thanks for the suggestion.
