I am new to the forum. I would like to buy an inexpensive RO system like those used for aquariums and am interested in learning more about water quality as it relates to these units.

Welcome to AGA neal! You've come to the right place if you want to learn about AeroGardens! Do you have a specific question about water and/or AG's? Is there a reason you think you need to use RO water? Are you on a well or city water? In the meantime, I hope you enjoy exploring AGA! Speak up if you have questions!

I just bought a system for the kitchen as the amount of chlorine in our city water was getting high and the standard water filter was not cutting it. I used the RO water at first but once I started an 8gallon system outside I just used the tap water with no issue. This is the one installed the first of this year and love it! Water still perfect! www.theperfectwater.com/home-master-tmafc-artesian-full-contact-reverse-osmosis-water-filtration-system.htmlIt does feel a bit DIY when installing it with all the tubing but once you get it installed you are good to go. I did add a Permeate Pump, and UV filter to mine.

I get spring water from the market and use that. The Aerogardens are pretty small. A gallon jug fills an Aerovoire too. It probably costs me about three or four bucks a month to keep one going.
