Finally felt up to lifting and cleaning up the bounty that used to hold the celosia! It's been bugging me to see it sit, dirty and full of water, but I wasn't able to lift it when I cut the celosia for drying. But now it's been sanitized and planted with peppers!! One pod of Resiliant Shishito and one pod of Criolla de Cocina, both from Experimental Farm Network. Nutrients will be added in a couple days to keep them in synch with the other machines   |

Can't wait to see how the shishito peppers turn out! I have some of the Aerogarden shishito pods. I've no idea how they taste.  |

Lol I have the WORST memory, and while I’m not that likely to forget what I actually planted in the machine, I always think - why risk it when it’s as simple as some masking tape and a pen? I’m looking forward to tasting both of these, I’ve never grown or eaten either one. I’ve heard shishito is tasty - sweet and smoky, occasionally spicy - and the cocina had a nice-sounding description, also a sweet pepper! I had originally planned to do a couple super-hots in this machine, and even though I haven’t had any problems easing back to my regular diet after surgery, I’m still a bit nervous eating anything hotter than a jalapeño right now |

Had to thin the Criolla pepper pod, all three seeds came up compared to the single seed (of three) that sprouted in the Shishito pod!  |

Rose the light and did a little trimming on these - the Shishito had gotten into the light before I noticed!!
