I replaced the Fresno Peppers with Serrano Peppers on the Farm XL. These seeds were part of a seed package from Organo Republic, a farm in Florida. I bought this package of 14 different peppers seeds, 50 seeds each. I got this collection from Amazon. I ordered this collection Friday afternoon and it was delivered by Amazon Saturday at Noon. Everything else I'm planting today is from that collection. That whole collection cost $16 delivered. Added 16 ml Nutes. Serrano Peppers |

You have lots of seedlings to pick from as far as thinning goes.

Well folks, I've decided to change how I photograph my plants from now on. I tried using a black backdrop behind the gardens. You can really see the plants more clearly. Today I thinned all plants down to one plant. Let me know your opinion.  |

The plants on this Farm XL are not performing very well. It looks like the lowest the light will go is quite a bit higher than the Farm Pluses. Hmm...  |

Have you tried place some foil on the sides just for them to get some more light? I have done that in the past. I even put some on the deck for it to get under leaves.

No, I don't want to do that. I'm getting a bit impatient, but Serrano's are normally pretty slow starters. I guess I shouldn't complain. I am accumulating quite a bit of additional equipment with photographic lighting and Heaven help me when the new Bounties get here. I just don't have room in my condo for extra stuff. I thought of using one of my hanging LED units, but that would be more of a tripping hazard than it's worth.
Oh well.

I hate to say it, but the Farm XL is seriously underperforming the other gardens. These were planted three days after the Hot Banana peppers were planted.  |

I'm starting to get a clearer picture of why I'm having trouble on the Farm XL. It looks like edema again. For sure on the Serrano, perhaps on the Hot Cherry, too. Yesterday, I put a small oscillating fan in the corner to see if that helps. The Serrano are due foe nutes on Sunday. I will replace the water, then.
I don't think there is enough air circulation in that corner/
