I asked for more grow-anything pods and got a nice big bag of them, along with a garden kneeler/seat that’ll save my knees while tending gardens both indoors and out!

The new Farm 12XL was my Christmas present! I put it together yesterday so there wouldn't be any tears on Christmas day. A few minutes ago I planted a new veggie garden: 1 Mini Munch cucumber, 1 Burpee lemon cucumber, and one Burpee Green Zebra tomato. The two Burpee pods are experiments that are probably doomed to failure, but I'm hoping to duplicate maskedsonnet's success with the Mini Munch.  |

Good luck!! I’ve been very impressed with the mini munch - my biggest advise, if you want any, is to not get discouraged if the leaves look like garbage when the vine really gets big! There will probably be lots of dying off and brown spots in the leaves, if your plant ends up like mine, and it will keep putting on new leaves - I keep looking at mine and thinking “eyesore”, but I can’t argue with the results produce-wise! And the vine itself has stayed nice and strong, in spite of the leaves looking gross. Also, don’t be shy about giving it things to climb! The vine will grab anything it can, so if you want to keep it off your other plants, give it some twine or other trellis material to climb up, and stay on top of lifting new growth up to the next line. I’ve had to take it off the electric cords for the lights on my AG a couple times. It’s a grabby plant!

waterphoenix, I love all the AG accessories that you can find on Etsy. Pod covers with cats sound great--very photogenic when your seedlings come up!

I gave one to my wife for Christmas.
We have a Bounty Basic that holds 9 pods.
We wanted to mix herbs and lettuce but the quick setting seem to only allow one or the either. We picked Lettuce.
We just tried to setup the garden, it went pretty easy, but had the following questions.
1. Can we mix Lettuce and Herbs in the same garden?
2. The lettuce garden we picked says the light will be on for 15 hrs, from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm. We setup the garden at 6:45 pm. I expected the light to turn on as it was between the 8:00 am and 11:00 pm, but it didn't. I turned the light on hitting the light button and it turned on. If I leave it on, will it shut off at 11:00 am? or should I turn off the light

You can mix them! The lettuce setting should be fine for both.
As for the light - it's odd that it didn't come on right away. It SHOULD turn off at 11 even though you switched it on manually, that's what they're supposed to do, but if it didn't come on automatically it may not go off automatically. Make sure the pole that the light is on is seated fully into the slot - if it's loose it can sometimes cause those sorts of problems. It won't hurt the plants to be turned on for longer than 15 hours, but it's not optimal for their growth.

Welcome to AGA, rrs26ja! Glad you found us. With regard to the light, check the "Vacation Mode" button - it looks like little palm trees - to make sure that it didn't get turned on during the set-up process. If the palm trees are illuminated, it is in Vacation Mode. That could make the lights turn off early. As maskedsonnet sonnet said, make sure the post is well seated or that can cause issues too. Other than that, check at the time they are supposed to turn-off and if they didn't, hit the button again and hope that they come on at the appropriate time in the morning. rrs26ja, Double-check the clock setting, to make sure that the am/pm part is correct. You can reach the clock from the touchscreen.

Hello Ron. We welcome you to the forum and are happy you have found us. I think many herbs can be grown with lettuce especially because both prefer cold water opposed to luke warm and both should be harvested before a feeding and not the day of or two days after. As for timing I personally use the 15 hour timing for the lights themself. Personal preference  There is also a lot of info on the Greens and Herbs pages that may help too!
Keep asking questions you may have and feel free to post on any current thread or start a new one.
