New Farm 12XL planted 12/25/2021. From back left: Mini Munch cucumber, Lemon cucumber, Burpee organic green zebra tomato. GZ is highly experimental, because it's an indeterminate variety.

I am interested in seeing how the tomatoes and cucumbers do together.

I hope you enjoy the lemon cucumbers! I grew them outdoors this summer, and I never had any of the issues (disease, rotten cucumbers, etc) that I've had with other cucumber varieties.

Good to hear that they're disease resistant. I thought they might be easy to grow, because our favorite tomato seller at the Farmers Market always had them early and in large quantities.

Day 5. The cukes got my attention today, because they had dislodged their domes! The lemon cucumber (back, right) has two sprouts, which will have to be reduced to one. The green zebra tomato has sprouted, but still needs the dome.

That is wonderful to see all germinated

It's Day 18, and the cukes have giant leaves (no grasping tendrils yet). The Green Zebra tomato is the surviving one of three.

Day 22. The Mini Munch Cuke put out tendrils overnight! Nothing yet from the Burpee Lemon Cuke. The Green Zebra tomato is looking good. The photos seem to be coming and going today. If you see a box, the photo will probably show up later.

So exciting! For me, once the first tendrils came, my plant started climbing with a vengeance! I hope the same is true for you!

I tried to train the tendrils onto the trellis, but the cuke has lifted them off. It does seem to aspire to greater heights!

If you click on the box it will take you to the picture. Photbucket is weird at times

Day 27. The Mini Munch continues to climb! I'm trying to make a soft-tie trellis for her at the left (kinda hard to see in the photo). She's only grabbed on once--the curly tendril behind a leaf--but has more tendrils, and I'm trying to interest her in the tie just above the light. 🥒 The Burpee lemon cuke (at right) and the GZ tomato are growing slowly.

The Mini Munch cuke has a personality all her own. I'm getting a kick out of watching where her tendrils grab on. She changes her mind sometimes and actually unwinds a tendril after she has selected a spot and taken hold of it. This one has me scratching my head. However did she manage it? That's the front left post of the Farm 12 XL and my makeshift wire trellus.
