Hi, I'm Adrian. I found this board while I was on www.aerogardenprojectsharing.com, reading as much as I could about all the amazing things people are doing with their AGs, and trying to pick up as many tips/tricks/warnings I can find. I recently purchased a Bounty LED. It's currently on Day 11 and the covers have come off of all the herbs except parsley, mint, and thyme. I have 2 pods of sweet pickle pepper germinating in a Sprout with 1 pod of Micro Tom tomatoes (saw the first sprout on that one today!), and I'll be planting the peppers in containers when they have the 1st or 2nd set of true leaves (still waiting for those to germinate). These things are terribly addictive. Last week, I was in Home Depot, not even looking for another, when I came across a Classic 6. It was just $60 (both Amazon and AG listed a higher price) so I HAD to buy it. Since it only has 12 inches of growing space, I'm still trying to decide what to grow in it... but it doesn't make sense to start the herbs that came with it while I have herbs growing in the Bounty. 3 years ago, I had to sell my house and move to an apartment in another city for a new job. Last year, I was able to move back and start working from home, but I'm in an apartment now, and I've missed being able to grow vegetables in a garden. So last night, I ordered an Ultra LED. This is what I'm hoping to grow in it: 1 Urban Farmer Redskin Sweet peppers plant (1 site lists the max height as 16" and another list it as 21.5") 1 Park Seed "Patio Baby" eggplant (10-24", 45 days to maturity) Is that practical/doable, or a recipe for failure?

First let me welcome you to the forum!
Yes AeroGardening is addictive and I love it! To answer your question it is doable to grow Eggplants and peppers. If oyu look at the section for Gardens and look into individual ones you will see all the different projects we are growing. I know Mary's Garden has some eggplants. Most of us grow Peppers too!
I am glad you joined us and look forward to seeing yours grow and hearing about your new projects. Please ask if you have questions and we will do our best to assist.

Thanks! I'm looking at Mary's eggplant grow log now... looks like it will definitely need its own machine, since the first leaves get so big. Maybe I'll try to grow it in the Classic 6, seeing how well it fit in the Harvest.

Hi Adrian - a belated welcome! I am late to responding to many posts because I was offline basically from December 20 to a few days ago, but wanted to chime in with the others to say you’re definitely in the right place if you find these gardens addictive. We all love them, and we love sharing our projects and viewing others’ project. Looking forward to seeing how your gardens grow. d45692
