I know may people that are having a hard time with tomatoes. They remove the seeds first. Does that seem to help? Although he has U.C., it isn't the seeds that are bothering him. It is the acid on his tongue. He will have the 4th...knock on wood...& last surgery on the 14th. We're hoping that it will be an in & out, same day. If it gets complicated, he'll be there a week!
Oh No, a week? Well let's hope this is the last one

Keeping fingers crossed for you guys, campingcorgis, and sending good thoughts along for successful come & go surgery. The AG golden harvests are low-acid, which is why I like them best of the AG offerings. Once you get them going, they're good producers, too.

Day 57: Did the R&R, trimmed roots and pruned some branches. Lots of tiny green tomatoes. Nothing looks even close to getting ripe. DH complained that tomatoes are difficult for R&R. With these 2, I tend to agree. We may need to stop removing the entire deck and just suck out the water and refill it, presto, done-o.

That's just from one of the plants. The other is a step behind it...although it is taller than the one with ripe fruit. Go figure, huh?

Day 85: I added nutes, cal mag and Disease Control to the tomatoes today. I felt that trying to do a full R&R would do more damage than good, as the two plants are large and supported with the AG trellis. There's a lot of tomatoes on them too. I suppose I could have drained it and refilled without removing the deck, but that sounded like too much work!

Great producers and tasty tomatoes, but too little time. I ended this today. Will clean up the garden to ready for something in a couple of months.
