Today I planted 2 pods of the AG Golden Harvest Tomatoes. They are in the left side of the bottom Farm+ unit. No nutes. Pictures when there's something to see.

The AG Golden Harvests are vigorous producers, in my experience. I like them because they're low-acid.

I read that about them...and I have like 24 pods...so thought I might as well plant some! DH really likes the Orange Hat tomatoes. Hoping he has similar feelings for the Golden Harvest. I tried growing them once before, but they turned red?

campingcorgis, the Golden Harvest tomatoes turn yellow, then gold. If yours turned red, you probably had AG Heirlooms instead. We like the Heirlooms, but they don't produce as well and are more acidic. AG seems to make a lot of mistakes with the seed pods! Of course, I can't complain, because my great Banana Pepper came disguised as a Poblano.

Day 15: The right-hand pod had 3 seedlings, so 2 have been removed. The left one was a singleton. They are coming along!

Day 50: There are some good size green tomatoes on these plants! Woo hoo! Sadly, DH is off tomatoes for the time being. Peppers aren't bothering him just the acid in tomatoes. Sigh. He loves the homegrown, so he'll likely try them, if they ripen in the next few days.

I know may people that are having a hard time with tomatoes. They remove the seeds first. Does that seem to help?

I know may people that are having a hard time with tomatoes. They remove the seeds first. Does that seem to help? Although he has U.C., it isn't the seeds that are bothering him. It is the acid on his tongue. He will have the 4th...knock on wood...& last surgery on the 14th. We're hoping that it will be an in & out, same day. If it gets complicated, he'll be there a week!
