These are pelleted seeds from Park Seed. Crossing my fingers that they do well in my chlorinated hard water.
I did raise the pH to 6 to counteract the lime in the water.

I think our water is chlorinated in the winter time as well and I thankfully never have a problem with my water any time of hte year.

If my current batch of AG starts do okay, I will quit worrying about it. So far, I can't see any negative effects of the chlorine.

They are being typical petunuas -- slow to start.

These are coming along. I am trying not to get my hopes up too high for yellow petunias. I have read that they are actually more white with a yellowish cast.
We'll see eventually!

The yellow petunias will be worth the wait, just so we'll know what color they are! They certainly look healthy.

I pulled the Thai basil out and discovered a scrunched up petunia hiding beneath the label.
Yay!

The yellow petunias are looking healthier than the multicolored ones, but I am still having some problems with hard water, nutrient deficiencies, or pathogens.
I removed a couple of spotted leaves, and gave them the same treatment I gave the other petunias.

The yellow petunias are doing fairly well. They have healthy roots. I keep picking off spotted leaves.
It dawned on me that the calcium in our hard water might not be available to the plants. I don't know if that is true, but just in case, I gave them some calmag. That will green up some of the yellowish leaves, too, I hope.
