This is a "Love Blooms" kit that is a year past its "Sell by" date. Six pods of AG mini pink petunias. Also a pod of lavender on each side--one is new, one is also a year past the "Sell by" date. The pure city tap water in our area makes it super easy to grow things, I now realize.

Both lavender pods and most of the Mini Petunia pods are showing activity. Some of the petunias are more than 2 years old, so they may not germinate. The newest petunias are fairly vigorous.

They are on their way. Hopefully the older ones will pop up soon.

My garden is progressing very slowly. Four of the pink petunia pods have swollen green seeds, but haven't actually germinated. I think that the seeds kit may have been too old, or almost too old, to use. I'll post pictures if something interesting starts to happen.

Three petunias from a newish AG Flower Lovers Kit are doing well or just OK. I pruned the most vigorous one (on the left) to make room for the ones from the 2019/2020 "Love Blooms" kit that finally germinated. I tossed the remaining petunias (too old). The two lavender pods are really vigorous, compared to the one from the last GAL. That one finally started growing in a different location, and is now doing fine in a Kratky.

The lavender looks great! And your petunias are farther along than mine.
It is probably due to the Bounty's decent light, compared to my 20 watt Harvests.
Way to grow!

Today I took a closer look at the mini-pink-petunia/lavender garden, and I'm pretty sure that there's an intruder in two of the three petunia pods. The rounded leaves surely belong to the petunias; the sawtooth leaves must belong to an entirely different plant. Does anyone know what kind of plant has sawtooth leaves like that? It must be something that AG sold at one time, because the petunia pods came in AG kits.

I don't know, lynnee . Maybe a kale or salad green? Does it smell like a veggie or herb? But your petunias are so big!

Salad green is a good guess! It looks a bit like Arugula.

Day 23. Can't wait to find out what the non-petunias will be! The slow-sprouting petunias are gone now--they were just too far behind the rest, with only the tiniest leaves.

My GAL is now reduced to two pods of lavender. I'm pretty sure that my mini petunia pods contained Japanese salad greens. Those are the only things on the AG web site that have similar leaves. Some of the big leaves have distinctive purple veins. First photo seems to have two different plants (left and right). Second photo has something chard-like, but the leaves seem too small and rounded for chard. These all had healthy, pure white roots. Of course I can't eat them because I don't know what they are! Here's a link to the AG photo of Japanese greens. So different from mini petunias.

The bottom photo looks like bok (pak) choi, lynnee . It's an oriental relative of cabbage and is delicious (to me), both leaves and stems.
I'm not sure about the others.
I am glad that your lavender is recognizable!

Have you contacted AG about getting replacement Pods?

Not this time Shawn, because the pods may have been past their expiration date. I was trying to use up my older flower seeds. I think that I'll plant my own pods once I use up my current supply of AG seed kits, though. One hates to waste a month of growing time, whether it's flowers or greens that you want.

Sher, now I'm sorry that I didn't save the bok choi. It looked quite tasty. 🥬

Ended this GAL today by moving the two lavender plants to Kratkys. Electricity costs a lot in CA, and two small plants don't justify the energy required by a Bounty Elite.

lynnee, check with Shawn, but I think you can just continue your GAL in Kratky.

OK, but I'm not very good with Kratkys yet. Am trying to figure out how much AG nutes are right for a pint of water. Does 1.5ml sound like it's in the ballpark?
