We were too early for an appointment this afternoon, so we decided to go walk thru the nearest Walmart. It is not one that we frequent and they are set up a bit different that the Walmarts that are closer to us. Look what I spied...  Only 1 machine available to purchase, but looks like they should have more in the future! And a nice selection of pods and nutes too. |

An attractive display! Is that a poster on top, or a row of AGs with artificial plants?  That is an actual display of units. They don't look like real AGs to me...and the plants are a little "too" artificial looking. I'm guessing they don't want folks touching them, so they put them up that high. Honestly, they didn't choose a well traveled spot for this. It is on a side aisle, in the middle with regular seed starting supplies all around. In other words, you have to be looking for it, or just get lucky and stumble on it. I wouldn't have noticed it, if it wasn't that we had time to kill and nothing I needed to buy. I'll be keeping an eye on the 2 stores we go to most often. Maybe they will get a display too?  |

I think that the real machines with artificial plants are cool, but the plants are surely going to collect dust. (I know from experience--I almost needed a gas mask to dispose of a bouquet of silk flowers that had been sitting atop a bookcase for too long.) Thinking about the dust was why I started wondering if it was a poster at the top. Nice photo, by the way.  |

Yesterday, we had to go to the local Walmart. In a conversation with an employee, he recommended that we try the Walmart mentioned in this post. He said that they are the "showcase" store and they get new things way before his store. So...maybe there will be AG displays coming to a Walmart near you too! |

I got curious and braved a stroll through WalMart instead of my usual power walk to what I needed, and the garden center there had the same display! Very cool that AG is branching out!

Keep an eye on the items, as they do put seed pod kits on sale, from time to time. I've grabbed herb kits, even if I don't need them at the moment! |
