welp sad day my fellow flower lovers, sadly my petunia's caught verticillium wilt (due to lack of pruning and taking care)...sooooo on this sad day im going to play mad scientist and see if i can spray it with some neem oil to bring it back (highly unlikely considering this diseases is very well known for killing the plant). i'll post some pictures here in a bit but its a sad day for this grower :(

That is a shame. Hopefully it will come back but if not you can always plant new flowers.

funny enough i was going to transplant them to go outside so i can start on some new flowers, going to see if i can fix this before i do anything now...still really want to grow new flowers tho (but don't we all lol) |

If it is verticillium wilt--and I don't doubt your diagnosis--you will know fairly quickly whether the plants can be saved.  |

im almost 98% sure it is sadly, i just went through and cut out all the dead parts and kind of cleaned it up (luckly most of the damage is on the right side plants so the one on the left isn't as bad but starting to catch), also gave it a bit of myco and some potash tonight im going to spray it with some neem oil to see if that will help the outside while the other 2 work on the inside.

Update: so i think out of 3 plants i may lose 1 and im still not 100% sure, they all have new growth but i still see some damage which i don't know if i can't fix. but considering i went from losing all to just 1 i will take that lost, i'll post some pics of the new growth when i get some time. |

Do you think that myco would help with not-so-healthy strawberry roots, darais211? If so, how much of the Great White powder should I add to a 2-gallon Farm bowl?  |

I think it can definitely help! here's a chart that i try to follow (ignore the harvesting part, myco has become really big in...another industry...lol)

Do you think that myco might affect the flavor of strawberries or veggies, darais211? Thanks for the chart. I guess that you would use one-fifth of a teaspoon for a 2-gallon Farm bowl, because it says at the bottom that a scoop is 1 tsp. |

Myco doesn't really affect the flavor, if you want to increase flavor i would look up Brix its the sugar content within the plant (strawberry's that taste REALLY sweet (like sugar) have high Brix levels)
as for the size i use 1/4 (but im using Orca which is another Great White product, just specifically made for hydro), but looking at my Great White bottle you can use the 1tbs solution per 2 gallons for hydro (one of the great things about myco is its really hard to over do it as long as your in the 1-3x range)

sadly thats just the way i took the picture, if you look at the bottom it still looks really sad (one reason why i always try to ask questions when looking at pictures, they don't always show the full story   ) |
